Butler Contacts Several 2018 Recruits

Drue1

June 15th is an important date on the recruiting calendar. It marks the first day college coaches are allowed to directly call or text rising juniors. Butler has always been active on this date, but they’ve also been known for their rifle recruiting approach, meaning the number of players reporting contact with Butler has stayed relatively small. That wasn’t the case this year. Reports of Butler interest were popping up all over twitter all day today.

I can’t say for sure whether Butler is actually calling more players or if it’s just that more of those calls are getting reported, but it certainly feels as if Butler has started to cast a much wider recruiting net. Here is a list of 2018 players who were reportedly contacted by Butler today. Rankings from 247 sports are listed if available.

There are almost certainly more names that should be on this list. Not all players immediately report their interests to the “media”. If you know of a 2018 recruit who Butler reached out to today please let us know in the comments section, contacting us on twitter, or using the contact us link at the top of any page.
