Ripley Power Forward Earns Butler Offer

Butler is seemingly making the final list of a new recruit every day now, but that doesn’t mean they are going to sit back and wait. Coach Holtmann continues to be aggressive on the recruiting trail, and this time it is 2017 power forward Chase Johnson out of Ripley, West Virginia who has earned a Butler offer.

The 6’8″ Johnson is unranked by every scouting service, but he has absolutely blown up in July. Arizona, Marquette, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida, and others have all offered this week alone. Johnson averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds per game while shooting 67% from the floor his junior season at Ripley High School.
