I don't see them keeping up with Marquette's size on defense, but anything can happen in the 5-12 game. Also agree with others MU has been a rollercoaster lately.

Anim will make his life pretty tough. Murray is good but I feel like ja doesn't have enough help with him. He will get his but inefficiently I'd surmise.

There are some interesting first round matchups. Purdue definitely does not have a gimme in round one (ODU is good).

I can definitely see where there are no second weekend games for the BE this year.

Agree. I also think LSU-Yale & Miss St.-Liberty are potential upsets too.

Bruce Weber's voice is always worth an upset - seems like a great guy, but annoying voice. I still say Illinois wins a title circa 2004/05 if he had a voice modulator.

With LSU crumbling...that match up is very appetizing. LSU is basically being run by the players now and Yale is very disciplined.

I believe we all know how Mississippi State fared last time they were a five seed.

THUNDERDUNKS!!! Oh boy, the interactions with the MSU fans that year were priceless.

Back to this year, the Selection Committee sure was nice to Cincinnati. Placing them at Columbus, only about 100 miles from home, and giving them a team that has lost 5 of their last 6 games (Iowa). I imagine Tennessee is going to beat them anyway in the next round, but I'm sure Tennessee fans will be asking why a 7 seed gets a homecourt advantage like that.

I've been super busy with class and NCAA Tournament coverage, but I wanted to drop by and say thanks to all of you guys for the support with my bracketology posts and other articles during this season. I'm posting this in here because the Bracket Project results are in and I finished seventh (out of 195 bracketologists) this year in projecting the field that the committee put together. This was my fourth season in the matrix and I have been above-average in each of them. This season now puts me up to eighth in the five-year average scores of bracketologists in the country (http://www.bracketmatrix.com/rankings.html) out of 133 who have been in the matrix for 3+ years.

You can expect plenty of offseason Butler content once the NCAA Tournament is complete. Thanks again for all of your support! Gonna miss being a student in a few months haha.

His wife actually got escorted out of a game a few years back. Funny stuff. Related, wonder if Romeo's ahem *back injury* will be healed in time for the draft. One and done and didn't move the needle for that program at all......

After the game last night, Seth Greenberg brought up a good point. Having just one one-and-done player on your team can be a situation that can definitely cause fractures in the locker room. That one player might have a completely different goal than the rest of the team and he likely gets most of the attention.

Either way, with all of the hype around Romeo to IU that has built in this state over the past 3 years, it is hilarious that it fizzled out like it did. Also, as crappy as we feel having missed the tournament this year, can you imagine being IU and missing it 3 years in a row? Jared would have to shut this board down if that happened.

I knew I had heard of this happening before! Wasn't it an NCAA Tournament game when she got kicked out? It was the year Wichita St. was a 1 seed? I think she got kicked out because you could hear her cursing on either the TV broadcast or one of the radio broadcasts. I remember seeing it on Deadspin but can't find which game it was or what year it was but I KNOW this happened in the NCAA Tournament.
