Since it's slow, what's the feeling on Shrewsberry as an assistant at Purdue. Was LaVall happy with his staff and didn't try to bring him here or did Shrews choose an offer, from Purdue, over what LaVall could do? Sent from my SM-G930V using Butler Hoops mobile app
Well for one, Painter had an opening to fill after Greg Gary announced he was leaving to become HC at Mercer. It’s been known Micah was interested in getting back in the college game and another go round at PU made sense. I’m betting he wont be there long.

Dumpster fire over in Cleveland. "In one of the weirder coaching changes that we have seen in recent years, Cleveland State has fired head coach Dennis Felton and his staff in the middle of the only July live period worth anything." https://collegebasketball.nbcsports...-coach-dennis-felton-during-july-live-period/
It's an incredibly bizarre time to fire the coach. The reason needs to be an awfully darn good one or this is just plain malpractice by the AD.
Something specific must have happened to prompt this. Historically CSU has been a tough place to win. There have been 17 coaches in the history of Cleveland St. basketball and only 2 had a winning record during their tenure: Kevin Mackey & Gary Waters. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
