We have a number of posters that should apply for coaching jobs at Butler. It’s obvious they are confident in their own abilities and looks.

The fact some of you act like you have the slightest clue of what the assistants do is comical. Give me a f****** break. Always something to ***** about. We could have John Wooden on the bench and 90% of you would be saying he's a steaming pile of sh**.

Well, he's long dead gone so yes, he'd be a pile of something. A cold pile though.

I would take John Wooden's pile of cold bone dust over Ed Schilling.

Why is Ed Schilling so attractive? He seems to have difficulties staying in one place for very long. Specifically what is he strong at?

If Butler did look at Schilling, I think he’d be a solid hire. He’s run a skills academy, coaches a state championship in Indiana, and coached at two blue bloods. He’s from Central Indiana and all of his wife’s family lives in Connersville, so I could actually see him wanting to stay for a long time.

LaVall isn’t pushing anyone out the door for him right now. But if a spot opens up next offseason, it wouldn’t surprise me if they gave him a look.

Can someone on here giving me a breakdown of each assistant coach's responsibilities in terms of game planning, player development, and recruiting? Does anyone here know what each coach is responsible for? Or is the idea to just pop off?

IU is no longer a blue blood and maybe not even UCLA. Isn’t IU fairly close to Central Indiana? I’m not trying to be snarky but I don’t see him being more qualified than what we have.

Pretty sure Kampen was the first to go look at Kamar Baldwin after Tyler Lewis's dad told him about KB, that ended up being a pretty good call by EK

    I believe you’re right.

I think he’s the one who went quickly went after Kethan Savage as well to add onto this.

I don’t think he left IU on his own accord. I think he would have stayed there for as long as he could have. The main reason he left UCLA was to be closer to family. So I think if a good job in Central Indiana opened up, he’d probably be interested.

I didn’t say that I thought he was any better than what we currently have. Just stated if one of our assistants left next season, I could see him being interested - and I don’t think he’d be a bad hire. And because he left UCLA to move home to Indiana, it seems like he wants to remain in this area - so I don’t think job length would be a concern.

As far as the blue blood thing, I agree that IU and UCLA are a rung below the likes of Duke, Kansas, UNC, etc. But I feel like they are still blue bloods. To me, blue bloods don’t change - which I understand is debatable.

Ryan to ND. Figured as much once he chose them to officially visit.

Hmmm seems weird. Pretty sure the connection to Baldwin was schrage, same with savage. Also only 3 assistants can recruit so I doubt he was leading the charge on recruits.
