Thought it might be appropriate to start this thread now that we’re in February.
Andy Katz has us all the way down to a 6 playing a First Four winner.

Ah, ****. I only looked in the Butler Basketball folder, not Around the League. My bad.

No worries, I am sure @Jared Grubbs will merge these at some point.

I think the NCAA committee releases the top 16 on Saturday. We are currently 16 in bracket matrix, so it will be interesting to see if we land within the top16 from the people who matter.

We were 12 in net coming into tonight with Nova 13. I don't expect much movement there, but we won't slip at all. I got to think if we're top 15 NET we'll be a 4th seed as everything stands right now. I know we have a loooooong way left but would be cool to see us in that top 16.

I’d be pretty surprised if we aren’t in the top 16 reveal on Saturday. It doesn’t mean much right now, but the exposure is nice.

NCAA has updated the NET and BU passed MSU to move into the #11 slot. Lots of road still ahead, but in a vacuum that would rate a 3 seed.

Several NCAA committee members at Hinkle last night doesn’t hurt our chances. They had to like what they saw.

Yeah we’ll make the NCAAT followed by likely 8 losing seasons...

Butler just had two wins slide into Q1 from Q2 since Wednesday. I am too lazy to look to see which games they were, but guessing Providence is one of them. Looks like they have the fourth most wins in the top two quadrants (11), one behind Seton Hall.

Well whatever it was I don't know, but we got jumped by MSU and moved back into 12th place this morning - NET is a fluid matrix...

Did so in spite of picking up a fourth Q2 win (for now). Mizzou moved from 101 to 99. Gives Butler 12 Q1/2 wins, which appears to be tied for third with Seton Hall behind Kansas (14) and Baylor (13).

Lunardi has Butler as the first 4 seed. Probably about right.

Again, I don't quite see how you place Michigan State ahead of Butler *at this moment* but they're one apart and could essentially flipflop.

Agree. He also has placed Seton Hall ahead of Butler at 10, even though the current NET has them one spot behind. Still a lot of basketball to be played. Want to see the team continue to grow as they go into the final quarter of the schedule.

I have Seton Hall (9 in curve) and Butler (11) as three seeds while Villanova (13) is on my four line.

I have no problem with Hall above Butler. Hall won head to head.
