I wonder if the late firing will lead to any transfers. They've got a freshmen guard I wouldn't mind the staff taking a look at if he becomes available.
Agreed, Amari Davis is a good player. I saw GB play probably 3 times this year on those Friday night HL doubleheaders on ESPNU & definitely remember him. Will be interesting to see if there is any player fallout from this. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
They must have had somebody in mind for a while. His contract runs to 2024. From what I have read his yearly salary was around $225K, which is a good chunk for Milwaukee to pay to get ride of him.
Davis is from the Dayton area, so this would be much closer than Green Bay. From a basketball standpoint, he makes AT look like a 3-point sniper.
Cool to see Thomas Jackson there as well. Evansville seems like they’re trying to be Butler lite. Man, how bad was that early season loss to them at Hinkle 5(?) years ago?

Very sorry to see Brandon leave. A good person and fine young coach in the making. But now there is a nice opportunity open here. It will be very interesting to see who they bring in, or bring "back".
