Gonzaga was under pressure and they felt it. Still they managed to respond. Will that pressure to deliver remain? I like Baylor, but no way am I betting the farm on this one. Sit back enjoy what could be another classic in the making.
More like snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory—and then back again. So nuts—was there and can’t describe the swing of emotions. Fun clip from Shel about the “trash talk” at the line.
I forgot that had Wisconsin last the second round game, Butler would have played K State two straight years in the second weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
I’m probably undervaluing the way UCLA was playing, but Gonzaga reminded me of Oregon football awhile back. Early in the season they’d look unstoppable, but as soon as they came across a tough defense, they’d look human again. Baylor clearly has the defense and a great offense to back it up. I’m hoping for a great game and I’m really excited to see how this plays out. Also, as for Mack’s comment in the Pitt game, I think he finished with “... mine is 3.2” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's about depth. Baylor has the horses to stay on the court with Gonzaga and rifled through a much better conference and tougher draw in the tournament. Gonzaga is outstanding and fun as hell to watch. So is Baylor. I expect this to be a Knock down drag out and I'm hoping for a few OTs because I don't want this season to end. Then I'm stuck with the Cnba, Cmlb, Golf (ok cool) and Nascar (very fun) but no football or hoops for months and months. I guess we'll have horses.
Logically this is probably the right call. Irrationally I can’t see Gonzaga not blowing them out. Why? I think Gonzaga is almost a perfect team but most importantly I’m really excited for a really good game, so naturally it’ll be terrible. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
Well... my favorite two college basketball teams have made 4 of the last 12 national championship games. Butler in ‘10 and ‘11 and Gonzaga in ‘17 and ‘21. I am 0-3. Let’s hope that luck turns tonight! Go Zags!!
UCLA looked this aggressive last game on offensive rebounds also Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
This as bad as you could want for a start Baylor does not give up leads easily Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
Welp. This one is over. Zags can’t rebound and that stupid **** ref Bo Boroski put Suggs on the bench with two bad foul calls.
Called this several days ago. Zags not physically strong enough...or quick enough for an elite team like Baytor. This may not be close.
Yeah the physical presence of Baylor is next level Timme looks as bad as it gets against a small Baylor front court Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
