Yes. PSU is currently 88 in NET but likely will move into the top 75 before the season ends.

Oh do you have a lot to learn. The most likely outcome is PSU finishing 76.

I think the Cal series is OK. Even if the metrics don't like it much, beating a P6 "Cal" is more impactful to the casual person more so than beating a team ranked higher but with less profile.

Glad we don’t play Purdue this year!

Far more of a must win than any remaining game on the schedule. And very losable, considering it’s on the road against a team that just trailed to a top 10 team (Arizona) by 8 on the road late in the second half.

They’re bad. Very bad. But at home? Against a team that’s struggled to shoot away from home? The Saturday before finals? They can win if we don’t play well.

It’s the absolute worst kind of game to play, and we absolutely must get up for it.

Both Yale and Cal are must wins. We can't play like we did against Tenn Tech and think we can coast to wins particularly traveling across country. Either could be trap games

A loss in either game would certainly be a setback for BU in terms of ratings simply because both games are winnable. These are games that BU should be expected to win. Yale at 9-1, should be considered a quality win IMO. Cal not so much, but BU cannot afford a letdown in either. One game at a time...

Yale coming in at 36 NET. That could be a good win. Cal, not so much - only downside.

Agreed. Both games scare me for different reasons. I think Yale is legitimately good and will be a tougher game than a handful of our 20 BE games. As for Cal, even though winless, has been in nearly all of their losses. They seem due to unload on someone, just hope it’s not us.

Dawgs NET of 63 places them 5th in BE, behind only UConn/Creighton/Marq/X. I know, useless at this stage, but if we end up 5th, we’ll be in the dance I’d think (assuming a NET in the 40s or better by March).

We have two non conference games left and the BE is performing badly against other conferences. Need these next two badly.

I would tend to agree, our two best wins to date are BYU(who just lost to South Dakota) and Kansas St. (not sure how that win will look later in the season).

The gentleman that owns Upland, his father-in-law is the biggest donor to IU basketball other than Simon-Skojdt. So not to unlikely that they made a deal. The new revamped IU golf course is named after the father-in-law, Ned Pfau.

That seems high. All indications are that Yale is legit and will test the Dawgs.

For reference, Sagarin has it at about -4.5, KenPom has it at -4 and Torvik has it at about -5.5.
