I honestly have no idea. Probably Butler since PSU basketball has generally been crap until recently. Maybe the game called after a 12 OT tie?
With What’s going on at California, that game at Hinkle could be a sneaky good early season matchup. Madson has done a good job getting some decent transfers there over the last month.
The ideal game where they don’t gel yet and Butler waxes them and then they go on to have a good season and Butler gets a quality win. See: Kansas State 2022
I am not complaining - this will be FANTASTIC game for benchmarking the season...however, unless I am missing something logistically, you have Marquette-MSU rematch sitting in your lap and you don't take it. Butler-Illinois would have been perfectly acceptable if you wanted to swap teams. Again, not complaining...just odd.
So how does buying tickets for the Gavitt games work? We’ll definitely drive down to E Lansing for that. But would want to sit with other Butler fans. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
In my experience, Butler receives an allotment of tickets from the home school. I would try calling the ticket office to get more details.
