Welcome to the SEC. I see a lot of their games down here and I see a lot of the Butler toughness of old in their game. I also think Vescovi could have been one of those recruits to move the needle for LJ.

This is how recruiting will always work. There will be 3 or 4 near misses for every recruit we sign. That’s why Thad and staff are reaching out to so many transfers now. It’s what they have to do. I’m glad we have a staff that understands that now.

 

Maybe I’m too sensitive to this stuff, but CBS just did a long focus on Micah Shrewsberry’s coaching history, including his connection with Brad. Zero mention of Butler. They highlighted how Shrews was in Boston and how he and Brad grew up playing against each other. Also mentioned his time on Purdue’s staff. We are becoming an afterthought, or are we already there?

 

Is it me or is Gene Sterotore’s analysis just completely useless?

 

Every “rules analyst” former official is, no matter the sport IMO.

 

I’m a bit of a uniform purist and I cannot stand these chest logo jerseys.

 

B1G started with 8 teams in. All three that played yesterday lost, making the conference 5-6 in this year's tournament. IU and Michigan State are their last chance to avoid a 23rd straight year (22nd if you don't count the COVID year when the tournament was cancelled) without a national champion.

 

Perfect 1H by Xavier. 17 assists on 19FG. Impressive turnaround compared to what we saw on Friday.

K State is a fun watch. The last minute was wild.

Also, I am very much looking forward to Ian Eagle being CBS' number one for march madness. I like him so much better than Nantz.
