Trey Hall March 21: Standing at 6-9, Hall retains three years of eligibility and wasn't officially part of the Aces this past season. He instead focused on academics. Hall also redshirted the 2021-22 season, so he has not played since Jan. 21, 2021, when he was a true freshman. The Connecticut native appeared in just 19 games, though he was a UE student for three years." Was trying to figure out why he didn't play last season because no injury was listed. Looks like a stretch four who can shoot at a solid percentage? And he did receive offers from UConn and Penn State coming out of prep school. However, yeah... maybe if he was a grad transfer it would be worth a shot, but I don't really see it.
Of course, with Rags down in Evansville, I'd take the interest as genuine. Maybe there's something there, but man, that's one heck of a reclamation project, but we do need one or two of these to hit to be a tourney team. Personally, I'd hold onto the scholarship for the unknown. Getting a McKenna type who wants to reclassify, would make having a scholie in the pocket advantageous (and on, McKenna isn't coming here).
The more I look into Ofri, this kid would be a massive get. 6'7 guard skills, the rumor is he so super long, don't know what exactly that means but guessing 7+ wingspan ain't out of the question, love this kids upside and athleticism
At about 1:35 mark, he blocks a shot and dives to try to save it, that would be a much welcome return to Butler Basketball! Sent from my SM-G977U using Butler Hoops mobile app
Would love it but guys like this don’t de commit this late without a destination Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
He had a ton of sec offers and word is he'll land somewhere down here. Hell I've heard whispers in Oxford but I can't see someone of this skill going there, even with Beard. I guess we'll see.
Make the call anyway. The Big East is a hot conference right now & we have a scholie open. Rosters are turning over too fast in the portal eras not to add talent as deep as possible.
