They might be involuntary transfers. Akinjo was a Freshman POY in BE. Leblanc had been suspended by Ewing for one game this year.

 

If Reddit is to be believed, major yikes.

 

Holy snit if what's on reddit is true then they are probably done unless they transfer to Xavier where they will be welcomed and probably given a medal

They have both been kicked out of Georgetown as well. For those who haven't heard the rumors they are on a list of suspected sexual harassment and robbing students of cash and weed allegedly

I liked this post because I agree that if what is on Reddit is true ... my goodness.

I also laughed at the Xavier comment, and I enjoy taking swipes at the Musketeers as much as anyone, but in fairness they kicked Dez Wells out of school on much thinner accusations than this. I doubt even Xavier would welcome these young men. Now Auburn ...

 

Supposedly Leblanc recently had a restraining order placed on him.

Only X of the past would have welcomed them... The new coach might have some a more familiar set of standards for the team, but they still suck arse!

This will send GT back to the basement, unless the Blackhole that is McClung learns how to distribute at least a little... He passes less than I open a drink during a game: and I've slowed down to on 2-4 a game instead of a 6-12 pack!

 

Galen Alexander is surely off the team as well.

Since the date of this order both played in three games for GT- Texas, Duke and UNCG.

 

Odds this meltdown reaches Mullin proportions?

 

Apparently there may be four players involved and LeBlanc’s accusations go back to September.

 

Yeah, this is bad all around. The basketball-related question though: what did Ewing know and when did he know it? Did he play guys while he knew this was going on? I mean...he had to, based on the timeline, right? This could bury the program for a while.

 

The dismissal of the players confirms some degree of due process has run it's course. Was there a cover up? Either way, this is a untimely embarrassment for a program with aspirations to improve. Most unfortunate for G-town.

 

Serious question - how far does this go for a very highly respected university to shut down the team for this year?

 

Just thinking and reading between the lines but Akinjo might not be part of the Gardner, Alexander and LeBlanc scene. Akinjo is from California and may be heading back west. Nonetheless this is another example of being careful with who you recruit.
