Makes you appreciate the high-quality kids we have at BU. Nored always frustrated me with his shot (or lack there of) but damn was he a high quality kid and leader and now a high quality coach.

The beat goes on for the rogue program that Xavier has been for at least two decades! For those who don't know, it starts at the top at X and works it way down to the athletic department, or more specifically, to the men's basketball program. There isn't enough lubricant to make the Jesuit core values mesh with the broken gears of the Xavier basketball program. They abandoned all attempts long ago.

The most recent miscreant, Dez Wells, joins a long list of Xavier basketball players who have managed to stand out in society for a variety of all the wrong reasons. Few programs, for example, can boast of having two former players serving jail time for murder. Who can forget Tu Holloway's classic remarks after the Cincinnati debacle last season: "We got a whole bunch of gangsters in the locker room."

It just gives you a warm feeling, doesn't it.

Majerus Steps Down as SLU Coach

This is a huge loss for SLU. This conference will still be very tough but it keeps getting little bit weaker between this and what happened at Xavier. Hopefully Rick can have a healthy recovery.

Ive never been that high on their roster. It really just doesn't have the high level of talent, you see on some of the others at the top of the conference. I think even SLU fans would tell you they depending on having schematic advantages a lot (Majerus)

I think this hurts this team more than it would hurt most due to it.

Thinking 4th, right off, think more about it over the next month

The Dez Wells recruitment went from Louisville being the front runner. To most thinking UK was. To now neither involved

MD had No. 18 class in 2012, now has Wells, Smotrycz on transfer plus recruiting momentum in '13.

Dezmine Wells to Maryland. A-10 all-rookie, 9.8 ppg, toughness, athleticism. Next step: appeal for immediate eligibility

    Andy Katz ?@ESPNAndyKatz
Maryland plans on seeking a waiver for Xavier expelled Wells to play this season. But that would be precedent for NCAA in hoops

    I
End of conversation about who is the point guard. I watched Clarke for three years at Arkansas and can say without hesitation that no one has ever played the point at Butler like this guy will. He can be devastating!

Freshmen Jalen Reynolds and Myles Davis are ruled ineligible for the 2012-2013 season, leaving Xavier with only 8 scholarship players.

EC Matthews just committed to Rhode Island.

Yes, even the worst programs in the A10 are signing Top 100 guards.

seems like a bizarre commitment. He had some really legit offers. Guess he really like it at Rhode Island
