Meh... fancy lighting, loud pop-music, "Lets-Get-Ready-To-Rrrrrrumble!!!" introductions are exactly what Butler should not do. It's a circus. It ain't true ball. What the Fukk? This is INDIANA, people! (also, get off my lawn).

Reminds me of the Lombardi quote on having class:

"When you get into the end-zone act like you've been there before."

I'll admit to being neutral on this topic, but even some HSs are doing similar things in regards to introductions. The hoopla seems to be trending in this way with the NBA and college teams, but in the end it is simply a basketball game. I have no idea if it enhances the experience for fans but the players seem to like it? I do think LEDs will prove a wise investment for BU.

I know it's hard for those of us who grind our teeth at night reliving missed opportunities in the game - but there are a lot of people who don't care about the game, that pomp and circus-like stuff gives those folks something to look at, and in many cases enjoy - I think halftime at the superbowl is a good exanple of how you grow the fan base. I don't care for it, but it's not an issue with me.

I have no idea why it took them so long to do this, but we're in the right place now. Yay.
