I don’t hate them. But man, their inconsistency makes me drink a lot more!!!

Potentially 11 if they play on Wednesday.

    Update after noon games:

    Marquette: 1 (52%), 2 (48%)
    Villanova: 1 (48%), 2 (52%)
    Seton Hall: 3 (61%), 4 (39%)
    St. John’s: 3 (39%), 6 (52%), 7 (9%)
    Xavier: 4 (59%), 5 (2%), 6 (34.5%), 7 (4.5%)
    Georgetown: 4 (2%), 5 (1%), 6 (12%), 7 (65%), 8 (20%)
    Creighton: 5 (85%), 7 (13%), 8 (2%)
    DePaul: 5 (12%), 6 (2%), 7 (8%), 8 (1%), 10 (77%)
    Providence: 8 (77%), 9 (23%)
    Butler: 9 (77%), 10 (23%)

Butler is 9 with a CU win, facing PC
Butler is 10 with a CU loss, facing either CU, SJU, or DPU.

    Update after Marquette loss:

    Villanova: 1 (100%)
    Marquette: 2 (100%)
    Seton Hall: 3 (61%), 4 (39%)
    St. John’s: 3 (39%), 7 (61%)
    Xavier: 4 (47%), 5 (14%), 6 (9%), 7 (30%)
    Georgetown: 4 (14%), 5 (9%), 6 (77%)
    Creighton: 5 (77%), 7 (9%), 8 (14%)
    DePaul: 6 (14%), 8 (9%), 10 (77%)
    Providence: 8 (77%), 9 (23%)
    Butler: 9 (77%), 10 (23%)

As a 10, BU would play CU as the 7 if SJU wins, and would play SJU as the 7 if XU wins.

It looks like if St. John's wins, we'll get another shot at X. I'd love to redeem the OT loss we had to them at MSG a few years or so ago.

If DePaul loses, Butler is the 9 against Providence.

    After Xavier win:

    Villanova: 1 (100%)
    Marquette: 2 (100%)
    Seton Hall: 3 (100%)
    Xavier: 4 (77%), 5 (23%)
    Georgetown: 4 (23%), 6 (77%)
    Creighton: 5 (77%), 8 (23%)
    DePaul: 6 (23%), 10 (77%)
    St. John’s: 7 (100%)
    Providence: 8 (77%), 9 (23%)
    Butler: 9 (77%), 10 (23%)

A Creighton win makes the 77% scenarios happen, otherwise the 23% ones happen

Do yourselves and your families a favor...invest heavily in providence. They'll actually show up and want to play, unlike our soft serve group.

Who knows, maybe that fire they got too late in the second half will show up early Wednesday and we'll make a go of it. Never know with the inconsistency of the team this year.

A lot of "that fire they got too late in the second half" was the result of Providence easing up on the gas, which almost always happens when you get up by 25. I don't think that comeback late in the game indicates much of anything......other than a team that isn't focused has an excellent chance of getting outscored by a good margin. Of course, the beginning of the game had already driven home that point.

And when we win you’ll say “Lol yes! My tricky reverse jinx worked again! You’re welcome lol”

If you think we’re going to lose, say it and stick by it.

Even a mildly neutral post can't slide by without getting poo-pooed on any more?!?!? :p Maybe we should just forfeit and go home or is there a chance that we play better? ;)

I never said we should forfeit. I never said there was no chance of winning. I didn't even imply any sort of thing. Actually, I believe I was pretty straightforward. Saturday's comeback was, imo, primarily the result of Providence easing up in the second half after building up a huge lead.

Can we win on Wednesday? Sure. We could play well and they could play poorly. And, no, I'm not saying that combination is the only way to a win. Providence is the freaking 8 seed, for heaven's sake.
