I think we're going to finally make a pilgrimage back to Hinkle with the kiddos. Looking at either the Creighton or St. John's game given the extra day for the kids off school. Also, tickets should be "reasonable" both in price and availability.

I took a stab at some all-conference/awards predictions. Obviously, no sure things but it was a fun piece to write and I hope you all enjoy! (After a hiatus due to the start of the school year, I'm back on the board as well!)

Kind of interesting, Nova only has 1 home Big East game on a Saturday.

Some Xavier fans weren't happy with only having 3. Butler has 4.

Kind of all over the place. I don't see GT at nine or X at two.

I'm starting to get convinced that the media wants Wojo to succeed so bad so they can then start fanning the flames of him succeeding Coach K whenever he retires.

You could get a more believable order pulling names out of a hat.

I honestly wish DePaul had the players, because this might be their best chance to dig out of the basement.

Just a random thought on my part, but after reading the article on how no power conferences will schedule Loyola/Chicago, it might be a cute idea to consider them as the 11th Big East member. It would enhance the leagues Chicago
market position, and itwould still be possible to play a true round robin schedule with 11 teams - albeit we'd have to scrap two Presbyterian and Northern Illinois types of games. They fit the "basketball first" mold for sure. Plus then our Chicago alumni would be able to fill up another away game arena in Chi-town. Depaul of course, wouldn't like it.

Yeah, this one really blows. I know Marquette is talented, but 2nd? The following are Marquette's conference standings at the end of the regular season, since the formation of the "new" Big East in 2013-2014: 6, 9, 7, 6, 7.

I just can't see how Seton Hall is going to win many games. They lost A TON of production. They have a total of three upperclassmen on their roster. Someone help me?

St. John's at four? Maybe if Heron is eligible. Who's playing in the frontcourt?

Let's give them another 5 years of consistent success before we go inviting them. Don't forget, it had been 33 years before they made the tournament last season and Moser had been there since 2011. They are committing more to basketball now, and they should have a good team this year, but give it time. They also, with a F4 team averaged 2,400 fans this past year.

Of course you are right. The fan base is a big issue, and they would have to commit to build a new arena to even start the converstaion. But there are enough BU, Marquette, Xavier, and Creighton fans in Chicago to fill up those away games seats for them. I think they will actually be better this year than last year, but odds of another final four are slim. But if they make the sweet sixteen , fans could start coming around. Stranger things have happened said Shelvin Mack...
