Can’t wait to exploit him. Dude is a turnover machine. Not only that, but he thinks he is the best player on the court yet can’t shoot a lick. I remember he played Marquette and went 4/18 from the field with 7 TOs. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
Possibly the most overrated player in the Big 10 last season. He is flashy bad. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
UConn transfer Corey Floyd Jr. commits to Providence https://collegehoopstoday.com/index...ransfer-corey-floyd-jr-commits-to-providence/
Here's how I rank the Big East as the rosters currently sit: 1) Creighton 2) Villanova 3) Providence 4) Xavier 5) UConn 6) Butler 7) Marquette 8) Seton Hall 9) St Johns 10) Georgetown 11) DePaul A couple of callouts: -I am assuming that Kyle Neptune keeps this roster intact (if an exodus was coming, I think it would have happened by now) -Providence and X were a toss-up for me - I think X returns more talent but I trust Ed Cooley more as a coach and I like what they did on the transfer market - 5 through 8 was also tough...I could see any of these four teams finishing in any order and I could also see UConn or Butler crack the top four -The last three teams are going to be bad, but Georgetown and DePaul will be BAD (I think St Johns still has Posh Alexander, so that's something at least)
They did lose 5 of their top 6 scorers from last year, but have added a lot through the portal. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
I just built my own rankings before seeing yours. Mine is coming in a week later, but I think we're pretty close. Our only main differences are around St. Johns and 'Nova. I could see 'Nova being better than I rank them. There's just a lot more competition now that they will have to fend off. I think St. John's is middle of the pack, at worst. 1. Creighton - returning a very good roster from last year, Murdering the transfer market 2. Providence - Murdering the Transfer Market, Bynum returns 3. Xavier - Keeping Kunkel, Nunge, Freemantle; add 2 top-100 recruits 4. St. John's - Adding David Jones and Curbelo, Posh Alexander returns 5. Villanova - Losing Gillespie and Samuels, still very deep 6. UConn - Keeping Sanogo and Jackson, adding Tristen Newton to replace RJ Cole 7. Butler - Returning young players from last season; adding size in transfer portal 8. Marquette - Justin Lewis declaring for draft 9. Seton Hall - losing Cale and Obiagu 10. Georgetown - Muhammed declaring for draft 11. DePaul - losing 2 best players
Rothstein's latest top 45. Creighton number 2. Butler missing. https://collegehoopstoday.com/index.php/rothstein-files/rothstein-45-22-23-preseason-edition-2/
I think you’re being unreasonable. Everything we’ve seen for Butler is on paper. We haven’t seen them on the court. We’re going to have to earn it. Sent from my iPad using Butler Hoops mobile app
Fine by me— we’ve historically thrived being overlooked. It’ll just be that much easier for Matta to claim BE coach of the year going from picked 8th to finishing 2nd or 3rd Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
