Big East interest in the men's NIT has ended after the first night, with both BE teams losing first round games

    Villanova 57-62 Liberty
    Seton Hall 64-65 Colorado

I watched some of the Villanova game. They played without Cam Whitmore & Justin Moore. They just couldn’t make a shot.

The Big East needs to show up and show out in the NCAA Tourney. We can't be seen as the league of Nova and the rest even though that means rooting for a couple of programs I detest.

I hope X gets beat in round 1 and the other 4 win until they play each other.

One of my high school teachers, who had a vested interest in his employer playing against his alma mater, had the saying "Let's Go Paycheck!" - that's my fundamental rule when it comes to rooting for the Big East in March.

Only BYU has been to the tournament more times than X without ever making a Final Four. Every year I root for X to keep that streak alive as I am certain that with persistence and mediocrity, they can move past BYU on that list.

Doing less with more. A tradition unlike any other.

Marquette looked good . Cam Jones with 18 straight points in the second half!! Shaka has them playing well.

Clearly Butler has been going about this all wrong when we've tried to get into the toughest basketball conference that would take us and scheduled enough tough noncon games to get our NET up. What we should be doing is dropping down to the worst D1 conference in America, playing the weakest schedule in all of D1, and finishing second in that weak conference.

The relies to this tweet-while ultimately meaningless-do indicate a perception that Butler cannot compete at this level.

The negligence and ineptitude of the administration at Butler is simply unacceptable.
