Big East Recruiting Notes

Surprised BU barely moved up from 31 to 27. I didn't expect to crack the top 20, but I thought we would land around 24 due to all of the losses incurred by teams ranked 16 - 25.

Wisconsin lost badly 2 out of 3 games and barely beat Penn State on a last second 27 foot shot. Yet, they stayed at #22.

UCLA lost to Wash State and moved UP 2 spots from 23rd to 21st.

ND lost to Louisville and stayed at 24th.

Syracuse has lost 4 of 5 with their only win coming from DePaul in that stretch. They have only won 5 of their last 12! Rank = #19

Hope we get a couple more wins this week and the NCAA committee gets it right with a 5,6 seed.

It's kinda wierd to constantly see other conference teams getting top 50 prospects all over the place.

 

You'll see 5-stars too. This is high major basketball, the competition and individual talent level just isnt comparable to anything Butler has dealt with in-conference.

Butler has to recruit at level as well

Devin Brooks - JUCO guard out of Iowa Western Community College (2011 3-star recruit) committed to Creighton.

Made some interesting comments earlier this year in what he was looking for in a school:

“For me to play 35 minutes a game and for me to be the focal point of the team. I want to make it to the national tournament as well. Also, I’m looking for a change it will be good to go to a school where NBA scouts come to watch games and practices.”
