Should have mentioned, he's a former X commit for those who didn't know.

What's the deal here with DePaul all of a sudden pulling in top level recruits and good transfers? New arena can't really be it? Leitao doesn't seem like a great coach and the program has been awful for over a decade. Playing and living in Chicago has appeal, but this all doesn't seem to add up IMO.

I think the arena probably makes a bigger difference than you think.

Still donating $$$$$$$ for a stand alone practice basketball facility behind Hinkle if I win the lottery.

FWIW, Marquette won the silver medal in the Nico Mannion 5-star sweepstakes to Arizona this fall. Interested to see how that situation plays out...

also idk if they won the silver, but Purdue lost out on a top 40 PF to AZ too

Hate to see this kid leave Indy, but I think we've had enough recruits explain to us they want to go away for college. I'd rather Chicago become our focus. Too many good kids come out of the CPL we don't seem to close.

If Butler had recruiters, they could get players from everywhere - especially Indianapolis. Kids leaving is about who is asking them to stay, not the desirability of doing so.

Yep. I mentioned his name when he got out of his Ga St commitment, was hoping we'd take a run at him. Not to be. Same with LaVaria. Just no interest from this staff while many others show interest in two local products. I don't know...

But I thought we are judged by the company of other programs who offer? Or at least that’s what I’ve been told/heard. If BU was bringing him in (like Creighton is) with the list of other offers, you’d be pointing out how the kid was a mid-major at best.
