Blake Wesley - 2021 Shooting Guard (Offered)

Wesley has never struck me as a BU type player. Seen a game against Culver Academy where he was punked time and time again. Not a player that shows a lot of toughness IMO. I understand the attraction based on ratings but like another BU freshmen, lots of fluff but not much substance.

So does this mean we're out on Wesley because "big bad" Louisville came in?

 

I’d assume the staff has significantly slowed Wesley’s recruitment after locking up Thomas and Taylor. I’m sure they’d love to have him, but with one scholly left (currently), they’re more likely to take a shooter. If it’s not Barnhizer, somebody like Riley Norris will pop up in the next few weeks with the circuit starting up.

 

Two schollies are left, but I would imagine they will monitor the AAU Circuit and the transfer portal.

 

Whoops. Need a scorer for next season anyway, which can easily be found in a grad transfer. Wesley is likely out of the picture.

 

Wesley and SB Riley knocked out of tourney by Culver Academy 62 -41.

 

Looks like Wesley finished with 24, which they said was 2 under his average.

I'll admit to changing my tune on Blake. He would not be a bad option for BU. He showed plenty quickness and skills in AAU. His HS team must be terribly coached. Not sure where he might fit in here but the talent is there.

I’m okay with this. Talent level there but we have filled the spot he plays already in his class. Think both sides moved away from one another after we got Thomas in the fold.

 

Shorts are too short anyway

I've also felt that Khalif transfering lead to the 180 of Thomas coming back to us when Snow was sure he was headed to UC.
