How funny would it be if Steven's hired Woodson to be the next coach?!?

Doesn’t Nolan Ryan “own” the Astros? He doesn’t have nearly enough money for that.

I bet Brad could easily be the face (and member) of an investment group that could buy the Pacers.

1.5B (quick google search) is not a lot... (in the investment world anyway).

Well now this Brad news makes sense. Takes a year off and then becomes Duke head coach in a year!

Brad making some power moves here.

    Don't blame him one bit.

Less travel, more time with family, doesn't have to deal directly with players egos anymore, only has to answer to the owner--not the GM/owner, and greater job stability.

    Win, win.

Frankly, I think Ainge was tired of all of it - all these positions are nail-biters...

I'm as surprised as anyone that he is giving up coaching (at least for now) but I guess it goes to show work/life balance considerations apply even to a few of the most motivated, successful and visible people. Sad for basketball but good for him!

Maybe his and Tracy's (a Trustee) involvement with BU will have a chance to increase as a result?

    Go Brad go!!!!

I think this is a great move, coaching in the nba is getting less and less important if you ask me.....

I think he needs a breather, and I also think he will coach again

And it will be the knicks or the Lakers in five years with loads of young talent

Interesting thought by BUJet on Twitter: could Brad try to lure Mark Few to coach the Celtics? If so, would Few accept?

In my opinion Few is a great recruiter. Coach....not sure. No national title trophies on his mantle...despite occupying number one tourney seeds numerous times. Stevens did his magic with Horizon League talent, team work, smart play and effort. That makes a great coach in my book. Few is not an elite coach by my standards.

Lol zero chance. No fly fishing in Boston. Few will retire in Spokane.

He hired Ime Udoka. He was one of the top candidates and already had previous relationships w Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Seems like a good hire
