The "free" part yes. However the "throw" part seems accurate.

I agree. He has better post moves than Nze and golden

Had a chance to cut it to 9...miss and then blown up. I like more what I've seen from the guards this half...but the rest, whatevs. Just not a good night.

Fouling down this much is embarrassing. It's pointless and just a bad look. So so stupid.

I'll have takeaways posted in the morning as I follow my own advice of not overreacting :). Have a nice night everyone and I hope all are able to celebrate the New Year in at least some capacity.

Only thing to make tonight worse would be an X and IU win.

Definitely not pretty, but I don't really understand the outrage from some of y'all. Everyone knew this could definitely be a bit of a transition year, relying heavily on the performance of freshmen. We were going to have a VERY thin margin of error, and that was before losing Scooby for the year and AT for the past few games. Oh, not to mention about a month's worth of practice and tune-up games. I would much rather be winning, sure, but some of these takes are wild.

Play the freshman. Coles 3/4 while golden missing dunks and Nze getting block by the backboard. Those two bigs need to sit. I am sure they work hard and are good kids but they not getting it done on either end.

Sit Nze, and start Coles. Nze is better than he's been playing, and most of it is lack of effort and focus. The bench can do wonders for that.

Totally agree. His moves are soft and falling away from the basket. I understand the need to create space but instead of using countermoves he frequently falls away and creates space but by making the shot way harder for himself.

Our freshmen played like freshmen tonight. Which is going to happen. But man, our upperclassmen have been disappointing.
