Wow, this team is playing horrible defense and horrible offense. Lucky to be down 6 right now.

Makings of a blowout. We got nothing on both ends.

We help off of our guys when we don’t need to and then don’t get back to out guy. Repeatedly. Dayton is playing good, tight man to man.

I can deal with shots not falling. This team is not prepared on offense or defense.

Don’t have a point guard tonight nor defenders. No offensive rebounders

How can we go five minutes without scoring and not use a timeout. We did not attack the paint with our bigs. Everything is from beyond the arc. GREAT COACHING!!! Wake up and try something else, not do the same thing over and over and over hoping for something to happen!!!!

Butler not playing well at all! Letting the physical D get to them mostly!

Did we forget how to play defense, this is a hell of a way to start a tournament

I would attack Cunningham with a heavy dose of Brunk. Our guys not even looking to feed the post. McDermott keeping us it. Baldwin not existent

We simply cannot dive down off their shooters. 20 years ago, most teams did not have the shooting from range to punish you for doing it. Now, almost every team can kill you. McDermott, Baldwin, and Jorgensen by far the worst offenders in this category. Anthony grant coaching circles around LaVall right now. Get the freaking ball out of Baldwin’s hands and get him open off the ball. Feed the post. Just elementary corrections.

Not great, but it happens. Knock on wood, but I doubt Dayton continues shooting 60+% and Butler shoots 30%. We do need to get better looks on offense though. Get Fowler and Brunk at the high post to break the zone, kick to a shooter, look baseline, or post up.

I don't mind getting beat by better teams or individual brilliance, but we're not executing on either end and are just flat out getting beat. Clumsy rotations on D have led to Dayton taking a ton of easy shots in the paint and we look completely lost on offense. I've seen us run one set where we set a screen for Brunk/Fowler at the elbow for them to roll down into the paint and post up. Everything else has been perimeter pass, dribble hand-off, Brunk/Fowler jogs up to set an on-ball screen, reset. No off-the-ball movement, no action directed towards the rim. This is on LaVall.
