Win two of the next three I am so stoked Win one but lose two of them with in ten points I am so stoked Win one I am just semi stoked Luckily we play nova and we always seem to play them tough. But wait we win all three then my hopes get way up and I think we have a chance for the ncaa tourney, weather that is a true chance or not who knows but It would save my personal butler season Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
I'm late because I missed most of the game and am going back through the posts. But the weird thing about the Groce situation is he does fit perfectly on this team. He's exactly what we need. His lack of production is one of the most confusing parts of the season.
Felt strange having a game in which Butler had everyone available and our opponent was short-handed. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
Size, athleticism and skills he has it but if you watch he seems to be always looking around trying to figure out where he is suppose to be on the court.
Just for fun… were you completely sober when you posted this? Sent from my iPad using Butler Hoops mobile app
Well, for those of us who choose to be optimistic - Free throws were outstanding 17 of 19, Hodges only played ten minutes but grabbed 7 rebounds indicating some hustle, it is a road win in the Big East, and playing poorly in the early season leaves us lots of room for improvement ... I feel better this morning than I felt yesterday morning.
Hodges will make a difference. We’re not going anywhere without a miracle, but we should be more fun to watch. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
Overall the ball movement was better as the game progressed. It managed to pull Georgetown out of that zone eventually. The Hoyas are remarkably bad.
Early in the game the offense was stagnant again. Hodges coming into the game gave a jolt to the team. I really wish they would push the ball, even after made baskets...we are faster than we appear and have guys that can get to the rim. Once you have action under the hoop, it really opens things up outside for the likes of Bolden/Harris. As seadawg said, the movement got better as the game went on. I was hesitant to think Hodges would make much of a difference, but his energy is great for the 2nd team.
I believe it was Brad who said : You are never as bad as you think you are, and you are never as good as you think you are. I will take poetic license and paraphrase ; You are never as bad as this board thinks you are, and you are never as good as this board thinks you are.
