To be fair, Xavier is defending the pick and roll like they’ve never seen it. Almost like they’re trying to trap the ball handler.

 

1-8 vs 6-11 from three is 15 points. We are down 11.

 

I'm hearing Bolden needs benched and that Golden is our only offense. Weren't we saying the exact opposite not too long ago?

 

Respectfully disagree. Of course AT needed to dribble at Taylor to shorten the pass. He dribbled to the sideline and got trapped.

 

Analysis like that might get you a job on Lavall’s staff

 

Not watching sadly but maybe we are just jinxed

Sounds like offense is ok but Xavier is lights out and that just makes sense for how the year has been

As for harris I do think his confidence is shook due to injury, covid, and even more so all the pre season hype .

Sadly like many have said he needs to score double digits for us to win big games and that is not happening

Which may be part of the reason Harris and Bolden aren't scoring more. They can't really create in iso situations.

 

Best offense is to take it to the hoop. Xavier’s bigs are bad on defense. If wecould just hit threes at a 25% rate.

 

Why won’t Chuck take a little pull up shot?

 

So far tonight, I think what we’re witnessing is a good defense really struggling to stop a better offense.

 

I feel like last year harris was great at iso scoring and got to the free throw line at a decent clip.

The difference is the threes. Everything else is equal.

1/7 - so far tonight, 0/2 from the field, passing out multiple shots...

He looks nothing like the December 7th version of himself for whatever reasons (as you and others mentioned) and it's killing the team. Idk what he has to do, but he's Butler's rudder offensively and it's hard to watch him right now.

 

If this team goes 7-13 in big east play it’s a miracle. They look utterly outmatched. This staff needs to go and the program needs to start over

 

We played about as good as I believe we can this year. Didn't get many breaks & X made their shots. It will take a defensive miracle to pull this out.

 

The difference is we have zero offensive confidence and our three point defense has been atrocious.
