The women dominated #20 Notre Dame 4-1 today at the Sellick Bowl. Impressive showing for the team led by Paige Monaghan’s two goals. The Senior is a special player. The Dawgs are 3-0 to open the season. Go Dawgs!

No. They lost 2-1 to Georgetown in the semi-final round. In terms of rankings, they were #3 in the Big East.

However, with the team's overall record & quality games against ranked foes, they earned an at-large bid.

 

Congratulations to them. Earning an at-large shows program strength and conference reputation.

The Lady Dawgs tied for fourth in the BEast standings & hosted a home game in the conference tourney. They beat Providence (I think) & lost in the semi-finals to that X team.

 

Some tough losses in there. Stuck it to Georgetown late in season and really outplayed Northwestern in horrible weather. Did end up dropping BE tournament game to Creighton. Ended up with BE freshman of the year and BE offensive player of the year.
Looking forward to spring season and next fall. Will be spending a lot of time visiting for games.
