Connor Essegian - 2022 Wing (Wisconsin)

Creighton offered Conner Essegian, ‘22 6’ 4” guard from Fort Wayne area (Central Noble High School). Great competitor that has ball skills, athleticism, and can shoot the lights out. Had a long list of lower/mid D1 offers prior to Creighton. Maybe the Creighton offer will spark interest from Butler.

 

Indeed it did.

 

Congrats to this kid on getting an Ohio State offer [tomorrow].

But he really has started to compile some good offers in the past week. Creighton, Wake, and now Butler.

 

Butler has been on Essegian since last month.

 

If we follow recent patterns, it will be Connor. Everything in twos: Bryce and Bryce, Myles and Myles (it seems like there was some other names that were in common, too that isn't currently coming to me) so, Connor and Connor...???

Sounds like he plans to trim his list soon and make a decision in August. No inside knowledge, but I'd be a little surprised if he doesn't end up at Butler.

Besides being a good shooter, the biggest takeaway is how he moves very well without the ball.

 

Thank you, I appreciate it. It was much easier to track recruit updates when we only offered 3 kids a decade.

 

Yes, seems like a quite capable 6'4 guard. Moves well without the ball, defends alright, rebounds well. Under control

 

Some of Conner's other videos illustrate his movement on using screens or curls to get open looks on what appears to be set plays. He also has a fairly quick release.

Was offered on an unofficial to Wisconsin today. Visiting Minnesota unofficially tomorrow then plans to schedule officials.

"Hey everybody...look at me!" is not the greatest quote.

 

I have no insight and this is just a guess, but I have seen this kid play a few times and from what I have seen he’s going to be a really efficient college player. Not a “Wow” u guy, but a great addition to any team. Saying that here’s my list.
1. Wisconsin
2. Butler
3. Minnesota
4. Wake Forrest

 

I have a scheduled interview call with Essegian tonight. Should have that article up tomorrow pending anything that pops up in my schedule. I think Wisconsin and Minnesota are the toughest teams to beat in this particular recruitment. (Njie interview is still midway through and I did a post-eybl Turnbull interview as well that will come out soon too).
