FWIW, his Twitter and Instagram both still say Butler Basketball commit. Also still has the commitment tweet pinned to his profile.

He is still in Utah and has not decided for sure if he is coming to Butler.

Strange. Does anyone know if walk-ons can travel to Spain?

I gave Holt a lot of slack on the whole Kyle Young situation given it was a unique situation. Even Holt himself referenced that. But this one is a bit different...

If Holt was willing to offer him a scholarship on the OSU roster then how can you blame him from deciding not to be a walk-on here? Even if he's not getting a scholarship at OSU, the dude is a walk-on and he owes Butler nothing.

I don't blame Connor at all. But Holt saying that it is important for us to keep our recruiting class intact, while taking 2 recruits is a bit different.

Would you seriously anticipate any difference? Holt would steal walk-ons at this point if he thought it would help OSU win. I'm praying we get the chance to beat them someday.

Couldn't care less about this. He'd never play at Butler

It's a walk-on. and he'll probably start at OSU since they don't have enough players. Good for him.

If the stars align we could see OSU at PK80

Funny how I remember people saying the exact same thing about Barlow. I'm not going to lose sleep over this at all, just thought it was ironic.

I suppose there was nothing really binding him to Butler as a walk on and from enrolling at OSU.

Thank you so much for correctly using this phrase.

"I could care less." Drives me CRAZY.

Well, the university is out $52,000 as a result if you want to look at it that way. *Trip heads out the door to deliver a new #ButlerBound admissions letter*

Interesting lifetime decision. It's very difficult to get citizenship in Japan. Have to have Japanese ancestry which he has but still difficult.

Recruiting can be weird, but I never thought Butler would have a walk-on bail to become a basketball-playing model and Japanese citizen. What a world.
