duh, of course, but new heights can and will be achieved all along the way thru the years; it actually goes without saying; that was an awful reach imo; but to each his or her own

So many trolls now I guess y'all can't see it. Don't feed them. You end up with a pointless thread like this.

As a Bengals fan, I disagree. Peaked in 1989, only new lows from here on out.

Really? Glad you’re here to keep me honest.

Was drawing on a different example to make the point that “new heights” are not always realized. Ask fans of Southern Illinois, Drake, George Mason, etc. And, yes, I understand that Ed Cooley does not coach for any of those programs, either.

    And how.

SIU played in every NCAA Tournament between 2002 and 2007. Butler and they both made the Sweet 16 in 2007. SIU hasn't made the tournament since.

I left this board years ago because it was not considered kosher to love our school. Things haven't changed. So I'll just hang around this time to like stuff and place play bets. Retirement is a *****.

I'm an unabashed Ed Cooley fan, and I'm not afraid to admit it. He's entertaining. I love it when they have him mic'd up. He comes across as a good guy. Seems to care about his players.

The only thing I don't like about him is how he seems to have Butler's number.
