Fun fact of the day he's the son of Lakers head coach Mike Brown.

There has to be some heavy mutual interest there. Brown, Berry, and any of the big men we have offered (or even some we haven't, such as Morgan) would be a great recruiting class.

I'm for any kid that can flat out shoot the ball from the outside. Remember Stevens first team at BU.....Graves, Green, Campbell......and to a lesser extent Jukes, Vanzant, Hahn, Streicher, Betko, et al. All of them had a shot. We went 30 - 4 that year. I like defensive flexibility, but you also got to get some kids that are consistently good from the outside. Nothing wrong with going after a shooter or two that may be a little less "versatile." a la Campbell, or Steve Alford type. Gotta be able to stretch the opponents defense. Looks like we're set to go 4 on 5 on offense the majority of this year, with this team, and it's limitations offensively. Clarke and Dunham will be refreshing.

    2011 - RivalsHigh 100 Basketball Rankings
Mater Dei (Brown's team in CA) is ranked #4 in the country by RivalsHigh - right behind RJ Currington's #3 ranked Oak Hill.

BD5 going crazy with all of the updates! Love it. I've been a little busy during the holiday week so I'm kind of slacking. I've got lots of game recaps that have been put up that I really need to get posted. I'll get some of those up now.

Mater Dei is one of the top schools in the nation and not surprisingly they have yet to really play in a close game. There latest game was the closest. It was only a 4 point game to start the final quarter before Brown erupted for 15 points to put the game away in a 71-56 win. He only had 1 point entering that final quarter.

Interesting that Rivals has Brown (60) ranked higher than Sina (86). Even though it seems that alot of posters are higher on Sina than Brown.

No way he should be that high. I see Brown as a mid-major type of recruit right now. I didn't specifically check, but I don't think he is in either of the other 2 major top 100s.

Does anyone disagree with me that his ranking seems to be high? How many other guys in the top 100 of the '13 class don't have a major offer yet? Now, I haven't seen him yet, so maybe I shouldn't be critical (I didn't think Jaylon Brown was a top 100 player until I saw him this weekend), but I just haven't really seen anything that impresses me yet.
