Evan’s uncle, Rodney, played a couple years of basketball at Butler with Thad. Good story from a couple months ago.

Looks like there is some def potential there in the highlights and at 6’4” I’m all in

He's had a tremendous summer. Just a flat out elite shooter and underrated scorer. He has been raining threes all summer seems like you game find a game where he hasn't got at least 5

These are the types of under the radar high school players this staff needs to hit on. If they can keep identifying talent before the vultures start circling that's great. They did it with Bizjack and I think Haywood can be solid at this level. Great shooter and a big body for a guard. Getting some Pierce Thomas athleticism vibes but a much better basketball player.

He starts a Vermont OV today.

 

I understand and agree with much of this sentiment to a point. My only push back is that we have to be able to land priority targets over other Big East, big 10, big 12, ACC and SEC programs. If we can't do that, I don't think we have a very high probability of being good, other than maybe occasionally.

Also, does this mean he is taking a visit to South Carolina? What's up with the 4 stars? I don't think he's currently ranked by any of the sites. I'm cool if he's willing it into existence!

Local kid who sounds like had a big summer and may be a diamond in the rough. Helps he can shoot the basketball too.

We're going to have to be resourceful and find some under the radar recruits like we used to, in this NIL environment.

Love his size and seems to be putting in the work year to test to improve

The kid definitely has some serious upside to his game. Worst case he's a 3 and D guy

"The 6'4" scoring guard can fill it up from all three levels. He recently won the 1v1 competition at Kyle Guy Elite 24 Camp. He's quick and decisive on his moves to the basket. Really talented passer with room for growth as a decision maker. Smooth release from three with good elevation. Average athlete, but makes up for that with crafty finishes around the basket."

 

I hate to sound like a d*ck, but this just isn’t the caliber of player required and can only really be interpreted as a bad sign for now.
