I read an article at some point, after he committed, that said he jumped from 42 to 6 in Indiana on Prep Hoops. I'm not a subscriber and they only show the top 5 for non-subscribers, so, if anyone subscribes, they can verify this ranking for me. I couldn't find whatever it was I read that talked about the move within the state's rankings. Sent from my SM-G977U using Butler Hoops mobile app
I usually do, but there are true comedy gems in there at times. Probably not these last couple of months though.
I know it is a highlight video, but what impressed me was that his jump shots were nothing but net. He wasn’t rattling them in (except one). Hopefully a harbinger for good things to come. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
I really liked that video. Kid is not a great athlete, but neither was anyone on Purdue, and they won the Big Ten. Also, Penn State’s Jalen Pickett wasn’t a great athlete but he was crafty in how he scored and was an NBA draft pick. This kid has a nice stroke, a soft touch, and he can basically get his shot up from anywhere. He will be a crafty scorer in college. I love how well he seems to be able to shoot off the bounce. I really liked what I saw and am excited to see him at Butler. I honestly think he can be good.
Considering Haywood is a late bloomer, his ability to create his own shot is nearly as impressive as his quick release. BU fans should feel fortunate to acquire his services. He appears to have better athleticism than what was preconceived.
I see this kid is from Brebeuf. Being a new Butler parent and new to Indy but spending a lot of time walking around campus and in Meridian Kessler. I see signs on yards saying their kid plays football or runs at Brebeuf. I know nothing about it, but my wife and I always laugh at that name and try to say it how we think it is pronounced. Help me out here, what is the proper pronunciation of Brebeuf? I say it as Bray Boof. Of course saying it with heavy emphasis on Boof to be funny.
