One comment from the FBI is that it is better for you guilty coaches to call us than when we catch you and start charging you. It has long been believed by many...including me that many top programs pay players to come to their schools. It took an FBI...not NCAA investigation to rip this open. Of course the NCAA can't wiretap and flip witnesses in exchange for immunity like the FBI. This is going to be absolutely fascinating. I for one am thrilled that some entity is doing something about all the corruption. NCAA football is not innocent either. Far from it.

NCAA football is orders of magnitude more profitable than NCAA basketball. I can only imagine what the payments/arrangements are like in that arena.

There probably aren't a lot of fanbases that can be 100% confident their school won't be implicated in any way. If you're looking for a silver lining in the way the last few months have played out at Butler, I guess that'd be it.

Also, the cleaner the landscape, the better for Butler. If this ultimately rids the recruiting world of a lot of BS that BU won't engage in, it can only help.

"There is also a second incident involving what appears to be a Louisville coach being videotaped in a Las Vegas hotel room negotiating a payout for a high school player who will graduate in 2019, according to WDRB.com."

    They are so busted.................

College Basketball is what drives almost all of the NCAA's revenue, this is why they don't hand out big penalties for cheating,

University of Miami may also be in big trouble. Don't rule out Kentucky.

Nothing would surprise me. The lights just got turned on, and the cockroaches are scurrying for cover.

South Carolina has been implicated. There may be at least ten universities.

but for the schools themselves, football is much more lucrative, so much more incentive to cheat and to cheat big. That's all I was getting at.

Agree football drives the individual schools. However the NCAA would have a hard time surviving without college basketball and the NCAA tournament.

Apparently there are as many as ten schools identified so far.

I think their connection is Lamont Evans, the assistant from Oklahoma State. He was at South Carolina until 2016. His ties with Frank Martin go back to their days at K-State.

Yep. If this is as bad as it seems (and it’s the fbi) I would imagine Louisville is no longer a top 10 Job and probably a rebuild job even worse than when Sampson left iu.
