    We play today right?

I’m in the car and my wife is driving and I’m bored so might as well get this thread going. Can we beat our score the last time we played them and put up 150?

They sacked that crazy-tempo-loving coach this offseason. New guy plays a slow pace actually.

Line opened at 16.5 and quickly went to 19.

Books are now pricing Butler as a 50-60 range team (Pom has us at 99th and the line at 13).

    144, but who's counting?

The short answer is no. They have a different coach and a different philosophy than they did when we played them in 2015. Duggar Baucom was the coach then. Their coach now is author Pat Conroy's nephew, Ed, who, like Thad, is on his second stint with his alma mater. In between he was head coach at Tulane and had several assistant positions with high majors.

The Citadel is 2-1 this year and is currently ranked 252 by Kenpom. They lost to (Kenpom 69) Clemson in the opener, 80-69, and defeated (Kp 291) Presbyterian, 70-58, and non-D 1 Morris, 109-66.

It appears that their tallest (at 6-8) starter (Stephen Clark) is one of their best players. He leads the team both in points (20.0 ppg) and rebounds (6.3). He can hit the three, but shoots it infrequently (3-6 in three games this year).

Their other top performer appears to be 6-3 Sr. Austin Ash. He is averaging 18 ppg, including shooting 14-35 (40%) from three (averaging about 5 threes on 14 attempts per game).

As a team, they average making 10 threes per game on 26.7 attempts (36.5%), so they could provide another test of our ability to guard the three ball.

Will the two teams combine today for fewer points than Butler alone scored when they previously played? I’m going to say yes…

The over/under I saw was 141.5. If we're in that range, yes, they will score fewer points combined than the 144 points Butler scored in the last game against The Citadel.

I could see us being on upset alert. I doubt citadel is very good, but it seems like they might be good enough to pull off an upset as opposed to Saint Francis and New Orleans

Thanks, PSU. Are the rumors of Nick Singleton and Drew Allar transferring to ND in the offseason true?

Griz just got destroyed in the brawl of the wild so I am hoping for a good rebound and seeing butler win by twenty plus again to bring my spirits up.

Maybe finally a pierce Thomas slamma Jamma as well

Love the D, Hunter pushing the pace, and the kickout to Simas for 3!
