Gordon Hayward Butler Forward 2008 - 2010 Utah Jazz
Hayward making news by entering a pro gaming tournament. I don't really understand some of the negative press this is getting: Hayward To Particiapte In Pro Gaming Tournament
Hayward had a season high 23 points on 8-12 shooting (2-3 3PT, 5-5FT) in a win against Memphis yesterday. He also had 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 rebound, and 0 turnovers. He's averaging 10.4 points, 3.3 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game so far this season. Utah is 14-12 and currently in the 8 spot in the West.
Hayward had his first double double last night with 20 points (8-11 FG, 2-3 FT) and 10 rebounds. He is turning into one of the best players for the Jazz.
Delonte West called Gordon, "... white boy!" Isn't that a derogatory statement about someone's ethnicity and age? Hmmm, I hope Stern makes him go to sensitivity training at the NBA HQ while he is serving his suspension. Maybe, Dirk will be Delonte's instructor.

Watched Hayward the other night. (Preseason- Clippers @ Jazz) and he looked good. He shot the ball well. I think he's ready to take the next step in becoming an all-star this year.
I really hope he does well this year. Maybe he could make it to the All-Stars? I don't know. But he is poised to have a break-out season with the Utah Jazz.
Rumor at this time is Trey Burke was drafted by the Timberwolves for a trade to the Jazz...... good or bad for GH?
In the Jazz games I saw on TV it appeared to me they needed a point guard and some kind of offensive teamwork. Seemed like it was shoot first. Hayward often times seemed to be left out of the flow and not at his choosing. Talented, deep, young and confusing team. Questionable coaching in my opinion.
Either the money is not right due to what Jazz gave Favors, or Hayward has privately told the Jazz I don't want to be there long term. Not sure Pacers can swing adding Hayward. Granger expires but Paul George eats up that cap space. Pacers would have to decide if they want Lance Stephenson or Hayward long term.
The Lakers could be an interesting landing spot for him. He'd have to play the three to start, until Kobe retires, but they only have three guys signed beyond this year and obviously a ton of cap space. They are going to make a play for a couple bigger names, but I could see mutual interest. They have the cash, the tradition, and he could play alongside one of the top few players every to play the game for a couple years.
Highly doubt he leaves Utah. He's an RFA. Unless someone makes an absurdly stupid offer to him, Utah will simply match anything.
Deep down, I hope he stays in Utah, but it would also be awesome to see him reunite with Brad in Boston.
