Perry Meridian guy, huh? I live right over by the school, so I’ll check his play out once the high school season starts. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
I'm old, get off my lawn, but what's up with recruits using old logos? I know that we've mentioned our complete lack of social media competency (which is ironic given Kaltenmark and Blue), but come on. How hard is it to send the kids official logos to use for offer purposes? That should be the minimum. Having edits in a BU uniform would be better... Hey alma mater, hire me!! I'll move back to Indy.
I've long wondered this. For comparison, Creighton changed their logo around the same time, and I think they did a fantastic job getting it out there. Granted, it changed a LOT more than Butler's, so it's more recognizable as different, but still.
Corey Evans just put a prediction for Jayden to Butler on his Rivals page. https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2021/jayden-taylor-256837
https://www.prephoops.com/2018/05/2021-introduction-jayden-taylor/ "There aren’t going to be many guys that have as much upside as Perry Meridian (IN) wing Jayden Taylor. The tall 2/3 is a guy you are going to want to watch early and see him develop. He’s a little raw right now but you get a good feel for what he can become down the road. Taylor is a long, rangy wing that has the handles to play either the 2 or the 3 spot at the next level. He’s loaded with athleticism and his breakdown ability makes him a guy to watch out for down the middle of the lane. Taylor will likely be a solid scoring wing but he’s so far from a finished product, his development could go a few different ways. Think he could become a much better shooter in time and if he does, the frame and skill set will really blossom and he can hit his true upside which a High-major college prospect. There is a lot of time and development to get to that point but some players may not even have that as a possibility. Jayden does. While there is still a ton of time left until he graduates, this is a player that should be a mainstay in the 2021 class and has the ability to produce at a high level now. That breakdown ability and athleticism should make him a showstopper and favorite for the highlight film guys. What To Watch For: From now until the end of the next high school season is going to be maybe the most interesting time in his development. Does he keep and improve the skill or does it level off. For a ton of kids, they have trouble making that next jump in their development. For Jayden, does the jumper stay pure, can he limit mistakes, and does he find new ways to impact the game. If those things happen, in the next 9 months, things could get really interesting."
Weird that there hasn't been more written about him. The only other real piece of news I can find on him was that he was an honorable mention All-County player this year. https://www.indystar.com/story/spor...s-named-marion-county-player-year/3108353002/
Yea there really isn't alot out there, seems to be in the Pierce Thomas kind of area, not quite as explosive as Pierce but has some really off the charts athleticism and potential
Now Eric Bossi and Brian Snow (two other national recruiting analysts) also put predictions to Butler this week on their respective sites. Pretty unusual to see predictions this early on from multiple national guys unless something is up.
