MSU makes sense. Izzo likes his slow tempo half court offense & their bigs would help open up the perimeter for JT.
All in for him to go to zaga or Spartans Have been a fan of both programs for years Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
As a Zags fan I hope he goes elsewhere. I don’t think he really fits well there. Every player there is pretty much elite offensively, and he’s… not… and his D isn’t good enough to improve the Zags crappy team D.
So how many posts did he make this season supporting (I forget) a youth center(?), boys & girls club(?), YMCA(?)??? I believe it was something like that. He chose it through All Good Dawgs, our NIL collective. I don't follow kids on social media and don't have Insta. Really Curious to know
I think he would have helped a bit on the defensive end in the last zags game against tcu. I was so happy the zaga one but there were stretches there were the zags d looked liked they didn’t even try just wanted the ball back on offense, it blew my mind Hoping they clamp down a bit more against ucla Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
Supposedly choosing between NC State and Arkansas. I think the Mus Bus would be good for him development wise but NC State would give him the bigger role.
Selfishly I hope he picks State 'cause I'm more likely to keep watching him play there. Also, I like Kevin Keatts quite a bit.
He knew Butler wasn’t going dancing anytime soon. I will always believe we lost three good ones to the portal but understand why they left and am very sorry they are no longer on the team. Morale was shot. Losing by twenty plus every game will do that.
Hope he is successful in his future, not at all unhappy to see him go, and probably needed to go we'll leave it at that
Good luck to him on his decision and the rest of his career. While it sucks that he, Chuck and Simas are going but I think it’s a situation where the players get a fresh start and a change of scenery and the team gets a chance to hit the reset with players eager to buy in. And Matta was the coach doing the same thing over and over. He is more at fault for the disaster than the players. He’s back and replacing Taylor, Harris, Simas and Bates with far lesser talent. If you didn’t like 20 point losses you aren’t going to like the consistent 30 point losses coming this next season. Love to get anyone’s thoughts on why Matta didn’t fail miserably this past year and it’s all on the players and why this coming season won’t be worse.
Coaches recruit and develop players based on their system and Thad had a roster full of LJ guys. As the HC, Thad is trying to mold a roster that fits his system, not someone else's. Thad recruits differently than LJ or Holtmann or Stevens...no coach recruits exactly the same.
