I irrationally blame this thread for his struggles so far this season. Way to go.

I’m starting to believe that you might be onto something. Not only is Shooter likely responsible for KaMarvelous’ poor performance, my inside sources tell me that it’s likely he’s responsible for (1) Brad Stevens leaving, (2) Hayward’s missed shot in the national championship game, and (3) Blue II’s untimely, premature death. Way to go Shooter.

As usual, #FrenchToast only telling half the story. Shooter also:
    -Shot JR
    -Brought down the Hindenburg
-Was seen on the grassy knoll in Dallas
-Caused Nuke Laloosh to not be able to breathe out of his eyelid

Damn, son. If you're gonna rat him out, tell the whole story!

Cool dude! Let’s make sure we rag on our best player.

There is absolutely nothing positive bumping this thread. Nice job troll!

Kamar is a great player and a member of the Butler community. I’m happy to have him on the team.

Get a life, spartandawgs. The Butler Way is much different than the Spartan Way.

Hahaha the troll was the person who started this thread. Kamar has been my favorite college basketball player since he played his first minute in college. Yes, before the Northwestern shot. The OP needed to pump the breaks after the first two games about him leaving early. He still can be first team Big East and have an amazing season for the Dawgs.

Also don't give me "The Butler Way" speech when you don't even know me.

I don't see him getting drafted. He's not good enough in my opinion. Great college player but definitely not NBA ready. Not by a long shot.

Serious question, would you have responded the same way if I had said that?

Honest answer, No, because you have a good track record of bringing content to the table mate. When it get's to be a long line of just continual garbage, it's like nails on a chalkboard.

So what was the point of the bump?

To show that he isn’t ready for the NBA because he had a bad game? That you know he isn’t NBA good?

    Doesn’t make any sense.

I think that Kamar is physically good enough to play in the NBA, but I think that if he’s not playing point guard, those opportunities are going to be few and far between.
Imo he’s one of the rare instances where if he had never played pg in college, he’d have a better chance of playing in the NBA because they wouldn’t know how much he struggles at it.

Can a guy his size succeed in the NBA without a consistent three point shot?

Probably not, but theres nothing to suggest he can’t get there. Free throw percentage is used as a predictive indicator of future shooting potential. At about 77% for his career it doesn’t show signs of being a *bad* shooter. His athleticism lends to body and control and repeatability so if his only major inadequacy was his three point shooting, teams would ignore it because shooting is learnable.

The major issue with him imo is that the game doesn’t seem intuitive to him. The reason I love Christian is that I watch him, and he seems to be able to read what is going on offensively and inherently know what to do in response on (though the game still is too fast to get a read on his skillset and his defensive positioning could use work). Kamar doesn’t have that. We see in press breaks, p&r, end of game situations etc. From what I’ve witnessed he does learn quickly, but the first time he is put into any situation he struggles with diagnosing it.
