It's been fun to watch his growth as a complete player.

Given those advances stats I’d say Brunson personally, but plenty of games left.

Crazy that Kelan is that high up the scoring list especially after last years rollercoaster season. He often drove me nuts in past years for his inconsistent play, but looking at those stats makes me realize that my perception was off to say the least. I love his game this year. Just so much more of a complete player.
Last year I thought any dreams of the NBA were gone, but this year he’s worked himself back into the conversation. Still going to be a long shot, but at least it’s a possibility.

Last 6 games for Kelan: 27.0 ppg, 28-54 from 3, & 35-37 from FT line.

KM is indeed playing at an unbelievable level. If we only had a third player to compliment he and Kamar at any of the other three positions.

KM has come a long way and is playing more “team” ball than he has ever played. IF KB would play more for his team and less for himself we may see a third player emerge. How many times do we have watch KB dribble the ball then drive in and take a bad shot when there’s an open shooter he could/SHOULD pass out to? It becomes a viscous cycle when you have players unwilling to pass the ball.

In my view, the Big East player of the year is Brunson and it isn't even close. But I really think Martin is 2nd. I can hear a case of Bridges and he's obviously got the best NBA stock of any of those three, but his usage is low enough (and he's surrounded by elite players) that I think you can go with Martin.

    There's no way he's not top 3.

    (For what it's worth, Kenpom has him 3rd. Kenpom's conference player rankings go: 1 - Brunson; 2-Bridges; 3-Kelan; 4-Ponds; 5-DiVencenzo)

Wow, when 3 of the top 5 players are from the same team, that's a pretty good formula for success.

Did you just turn a comment about KM into a negative about KB?

I’d also go Bridges 2, but I wouldn’t argue against Martin 2. He’s carried this team.

Agree Martin has carried this team. If Martin wasn't here this year, we may be filling this board talking about NIT bids.

I'd be surprised if we got an NIT bid without Martin. Might still get an NIT bid.

I sometimes wonder why you follow this team...

Did I say anything that wasn’t true? If you want more guys involved then your point guard has to do a better job at moving the ball. Did I say KB can’t do anything right? Nope, he does most things really well. He makes mistakes, who doesn’t? I won’t ever fault him for that. And of course he should shoot the ball but as the point guard he HAS to be willing to pass the ball for a better shot.

It's almost like he's not really a point guard.

I want to hear more about this viscous cycle you mentioned. Viscosity and basketball is a curious combination.

Someone needs to remind us KB is only a sophomore.
