I also think he's going to contribute well for the Pacers. Pacers are lacking depth on the wing, three point shooting, and rebounding. Those are the things that Kelan does best. We are good enough defensively to cover up any of his defensive woes. I think he has TJ Warren microwave potential. I can't get over how excited I am for this signing.
Grew to really admire Kelan for the way he responded after Holtmann took away his starting spot during his junior season. He accepted coming off the bench, improved as a player and a leader, & helped lead Butler to the Sweet 16. Then he stayed the course after CH left for Ohio St. and had an outstanding senior year for first year coach LJ as he & fellow senior, Tyler Wideman, led the Dawgs to their only BE tourney win & another NCAA tournament win. According to Spotrac, it’s 2 years, 3.3 million. Sent from my iPhone, so it’s probably not written all that well
From getting benched at Butler, to signing a 2 yr 3.3 million dollar contract with the Pacers! WHAT is more Butler than that??? It takes a rare type of individual to not only have the talent but the resolve to persist through all the setbacks. THAT right there is a BULLDOG! Congrats Kelan, well deserved!!!! Good Luck with the Pacers (except when playing the Bulls)
This is great. If they are on TV and there’s nothing else going on, I have a reason to watch the NBA other than hoping Brad can get to and win his first finals.

That's awesome Kelan is making a great impression on his teammates. So any idea where that puts him on the depth chart? Calling all Pacer prognosticators, how much run does Kelan get this year?
Kelan is likely behind a few guys, but really you never know how injuries are going to shake out in the NBA. Or trades. Kelan just has to stay ready to be a key contributor off the bench. I think he'll do that.
Hope he makes it on the Pacers roster. He'd be great coming off the bench. Just ask Holtmann. Kelan has a nice shot, but if you remember, in his first two years, he was pretty good taking it to the hoop. Got fouled a lot. And he does have some decent handles. Not sure why he got away from that his last two years. Surprised (not really) Holtmann didn't stress that more in his overall game.
Maybe you’re thinking of a different guy? His ball handling and playmaking were horrendous through his first three seasons-even cost us some games like at St. John’s when he was a jr. His ability to attack off the bounce and get to the basket as a senior is what really led to his scoring eruption as a senior. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
He was constantly dribbling into trouble as an underclassman. Sent from my iPad using Butler Hoops mobile app
Yes through 3 years every time he got the ball and started dribbling I'd have a nervous breakdown about the impending turnover. He really, really worked hard to improve that part of his game for senior year, credit to him Sent from my SM-G986U using Butler Hoops mobile app
The Pacers have a preseason game tomorrow against the Cavs. Not sure if that's going to be shown on FSMW or not but it'll be interesting to see how much Kelan gets to play.
I believe it’ll be shown on FS Indiana, though no streaming services currently carry it thanks to Sinclair.
some of you clearly don't understand the narrative that everything that went wrong in the past was Holtmann's fault... I'm also sorry for some of you that despise the NBA that you now have a clear incentive to watch the Pacers
I really hope Kelan does really well and he's a force in the second unit, but the new coach and his staff have their work cut out for them in teaching defense... also I know those style of braids are in rn, but some tell Kelan they're not his best look
With TJ Warren battling plantar fasciitis, Kelan will probably gets his opportunities early on. Sent from my SM-G977U using Butler Hoops mobile app
