Khalif Battle - 2019 Guard (Temple)

I like those videos, like them even more now that I know he won't be following LaVall to Michigan. This kid is going to be special and the staff must have huge confidence that he'll be a big piece to that back court, because there are 3 guard pieces...that's it.

Battle will have plenty upon plenty of opportunities to kick some booty.

 

Think we are going to have some fun with this guy for however long we get to keep him

Tucker is going to be balling this year. IF the leash is off of him. Let him free and he will be scoring a ton. I pray he starts and gets 30ish minutes of run.

With he AND Battle out there at times (Lord willing) things will open wide up for Baldwin. Much better than last season.

 

Elijah Brown vibes???? Can’t help but shake that feeling. Kid is being hyped up big time but can he deliver as a freshman...

Probably will be the most athletic player on the roster. Some of the stuff he is able to do is incredible. Wonder how his defense is though.

 

I dont get that at all. Brown was a 3 star in the 210 range. Committed to Brad Stevens and had massive turnover with coaching.

Battle seems like a great kid, ranked significantly higher, gets to play for the coach he committed to, and his family seems great including his brother. Just dont see it.

 

Since I have blocked so many posters I often lose the conversation within the thread. Is someone comparing Battle to Elijah Brown?

 

Yes, they get an Elijah Brown vibe from him.

 

These people are certifiably nuts.

 

I'm not questioning his character at all. The hype surrounding him, coupled with the similarities in his game/athleticism vis a vis Brown's are the most recent BU player comp IMO. Think Battle will be a complete stud and hopefully follow his brother to the NBA some day.

 

Christ almighty this kid is such a stud. He still looks like he’s 12 too so I wouldn’t be shocked if he grows more and puts some weight on him

I'm in love. This is exactly what we need more of. This kid is gonna be a star here. Hops, hair, tunes, swag. New favorite player....it'll be hard to surpass Mack Daddy and Martin, those are my favorite all time. This kid could join them.

Am I the only one whose, when watching videos of Battle, first inkling is to question whether the rims are regulation height?

His athleticism is that impressive to me.

 

He flies thru the air, everytime I see him dunk, they look like 9 ft. Rims.
