first year playing to second year is when the big jump happens. Wish it could have been here bc we certainly needed it and there was going to be plenty of min's & shots available...
This blows. I know he didn’t show as much as we wanted this year, but the potential is so easy to see. Did the staff make early promises that they couldn’t bring themselves to keep once they saw him in competition? This hurts a little more because it seemed he and his family were so impressed with LaVall, going back to when he was at Michigan recruiting Tyus. What changed?
Uh huh... Maybe...just maybe I get a drop and maybe...you should listen. Ugh Loved this kid. Yes I was joking and playing but like hypocrisy or exaggeration...there is truth behind the curtain. Oy vey. Welp...writing was on the wall. Sent from my LM-X212(G) using Butler Hoops mobile app
You are full of ****. You literally claimed everyone is transferring at one point. You can’t claim 30 things and when you go 1/30 gloat. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
Battle decides to transfer after one season when he is behind Kamar Baldwin? Man just shows he isn’t the brightest. Overrated Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
Was going to get a ton of playing time next year at starting 2-guard. Had to be an issue with LaVall or maybe he just didn't like campus.
I don’t get it, tbh. I’m guessing it’s a play style thing. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops mobile app
I bet he shows up at Rutgers, it is 15 minutes from his his home in Edison, NJ. The Butler Way is not for everyone I guess, too bad he had a pretty good upside.
Kid just seemed very, very immature both on the court and off. Once in every blue moon you bring in a kid like this and he conforms to Butler and the Butler Way, but this was not the case here. The scholarship will be better spent elsewhere. Best of luck to the kid, but it was never going to work - and truth be told, I don’t think he’ll bring much to the table anywhere he goes. He’s just not that good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He was never going to start. Not under Lavall. See Tucker...jordan Sent from my LM-X212(G) using Butler Hoops mobile app
Everyone when he signed “can’t wait gonna be one of the butler greats! So much talent” Everyone when he transfers “eh he sucked anyways” Players develop, but I guess we all can’t accept that. Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
End of the day...it sucks. I rooted for him big time. I wish the kid well. This was in motion for awhile. Sucks It was a bad fit. Because he had tons of raw talent. Sent from my LM-X212(G) using Butler Hoops mobile app
After traveling to watch him in Peach Jam after he committed my takeaway was essentially NBA ceiling with significant red flags. I feel the same way today. I’m disappointed because the next level talent and athleticism is still there. I believe sitting out a year is going to help his development a ton too. He’s going to kill it somewhere if he can find a good fit. But better to get out now if that fit isn’t here and not have him block the young talent coming in.
