Now that you mention it, I remember Terry Johnson being the only BU coach at the game I went to see Wilkes at Westfield.

Oddly makes sense since Nebraska is an Adidas school.

I don't believe Wilkes will be a 5 star that would come to Butler, but there's no reason to think that the coaching staff has stopped trying. Considering he's a local kid, benefit on the off chance of landing him far outweighs the cost of recruiting him.

Other than the two Ts for hanging on the rim, wow. His only weakness is that he needs to fill out and put on some muscle. I expect he'll be in the NBA in 3-4 years.

    In silly Twitter news:
Neese and Wilkes both retweeted/favorited a tweet about wanting to see them playing at Butler together.

I am well aware the odds are less than 5%, but theyre not zero...

In the tweet I mentioned in Neese's thread, Meyer referred to Neese helping Butler win in ways that go beyond his scoring talents. I immediately thought of recruiting, though I'm sure it's not what Meyer was suggesting.

    Still, fun to dream.

No doubt there is always some extent of peer influence. Good friends want to play together. The question is this: Is that bond bigger than the prize associated with going to a bigger school. " I love ya brother, but I got a chance to play in the big 10"

Bottom line is that it can't hurt for our players to have these connections.

We gotta give ourselves more credit. There is a lot of appeal to attend Butler if you are Wilkes.

I still think he will end up in Lexington, but I definitely think Butler might finish second or third here. We'll stand a great chance if Kelan leaves after this season.

Question. When butler offered did he write it on his Twitter timeline?

Think it's a pretty quick yes when he inevitably gets the UK offer? If the offer never comes for some reason, IU seems like a pretty logical landing spot unfortunately.

Did a Rivals update video recently.

Cutting his list at the end of July. Wants his final five schools cut before the school year.

Said UCLA and Washington will probably make his final five.

He also talked about Maryland, IU, Oho State and Michigan.

Said it before: may be a bit too Hollywood for Butler. Best of luck to him.

Looks like Washington and Wilkes really is a thing. So odd. I don't get the appeal of Washington. I certainly get the appeal of Wilkes, though.

I have no idea why anyone would want to go to Washington either. Lorenzo Romar has had so much NBA talent in Washington the last 6 years and has done nothing with it.

Here are the Washington Huskies that have been drafted since 2010:
    2016 - #8 Marquese Chriss
    2016 - #29 Dejounte Murray
    2014 - #28 C.J. Wilcox
    2012 - #8 Terrence Ross
    2012 - #25 Tony Wroten
    2011 - #60 Isaiah Thomas
    2010 - #26 Quincy Pondexter

Number of NCAA appearances in that time: 2 out of 6 years (2010 & 2011)

So I guess any player that doesn't necessarily care if they play in the tournament, but wants to make it to the NBA might be interested in Washington.
