Two thumbs up if we can pry him away from the Shockers.

Loving our new found presence in the SW. Lowery could end up being huge in introducing the Butler brand to the SW in a big way for the first time. Lots of talent in that area.

Agree. But it's going to be difficult prying kids out of the southwest, particularly Texas, to Indiana. Will see.

What makes you say this, Dawg? We've done OK with kids from FLA/ALA/GA if its a weather related thing.

Why do you say that? The ratio of basketball talent to schools deserving of taking them is better around Texas than anywhere in the country, from an outsiders' perspective.

I love that we are going into this area as there are talented players here, including this gentleman. As BUcheer said, we have done well in previously unexplored areas recently, so why not there? Naptown has much to offer. It got me away from beautiful downtown Joisey many a year ago.
Good hunting, LJ. Now, let's bag a few.

Agree, reminds me of Hopkins from GT a few years ago. Nice drop step move to the goal. Great offer.

"What's our recruiting strategies going forward, Coach Holtmann?"
"Who has Butler offered recently? Actually, don't even tell me, just give em an offer"

I can see why it happens, but it is super annoying

I won't dispute Holtmann's right to offer. But I will say, despite starting later, Lavall is beating Holtmann to these guys.

How is he beating him? He hasn't gotten anyone. CH clearly doesn't see Butler as something that's going to be much opposition, so going after its targets makes sense in the short term.

He's not wrong. It's a smart strategy. It's not going to end well for Butler though. If both OSU and Xavier continue along this path, Butler is going to have serious issues getting players.
