"Name me a school who has offered him, who, standing alone, is a better program than Minnesota? K St? FL St? Iowa St? Please. I will give you Butler, but as soon as Stevens gets bored there they go back to their place in the CBB world. The U of Minnesota, standing alone, is better than any of his offer schools, and is a better program than anyone on that list outside of Butler at the present time."

A classic in not knowing where you stand relative to other programs.

Ryan James -- @RyanJamesMN on Twitter -- a Minnesota high school hoops and Gopher Illustrated writer, stated on Gopher Illustrated that he hears many people close to the situation expect Macura to commit to Butler on the visit tomorrow.

On Twitter, he indicated that Richard Pitino, Minnesota's head coach, hasn't even seen him play a live game yet (which I find dubious given that Macura has played in all-star games with Minnesota targets Jones, Vaughn & Travis) and that an offer from Minnesota might not even matter at this point.

Unbelievable that he is barely a 3 star on ESPN

I'm not going to count the chickens before they hatch, but the sky is falling crowd never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for all the entertainment for the last couple of months. You can all fade into oblivion again as this class develops.

Yeah this is a good development but don't count him in just yet. Hopefully tomorrow goes well and it's confirmed that he's on board. Would be a great first get for this class.

i think we have a GREAT chance with Macura. However, I doubt that he actually commits on campus tomorrow. If he does commit, it'll happen a couple days later

I think he is going to come to Butler. My hunch is that he will wait a day, talk it over with his parents and then announce the next day or two. Just can't see him committing on a whim. I just don't want people to freak out if he doesn't announce while he is on campus

I would likely agree, but he attended Butler's camp earlier this month and is already familiar with the facilities, coaches and campus. If he commits tomorrow it won't be on a whim.

I agree with 3speck. That's the normal process. I think it'll be a couple of days before he officially committs. I wish they were all like Chrabacz and committed on site but it's not that common.

I agree 3specks.....He will probably want to call the other schools/coaches that had been recruiting him hard. I am sure he has built up some good relationships with some other schools. Major props to the staff on this one. They want Macura and it looks like Macura wants Butler.

Jesus Christ you guys are calling the hopper on this badly. As the ever pessimist, let's hold out penciling this dude in just yet.

Then again, I know some, I don't know as much as some on here, so if y'all are thinking this is a go, I'll go to bed tonight happy about it.

"He will probably want to call the other schools/coaches that had been recruiting him hard."

That's the last thing I would do. You honestly believe he will phone the other coaches and tell them he is attending Butler prior to him informing coach Stevens. I am sorry but that doesn't make any sense at all.

You always accept a job first before you tell your boss and others that you have accepted another job. Ditto for kids that have decided where they are going to play bball. It could be quite embarrassing otherwise. You want the girl to accept before you turn down someone else.

If he attended Butler's camp I would suspect he has already talked to his parents and this is a formality and to give his parent(s) the opportunity to see the campus and meet the players. His mother is a flight attendant which negates the distance to watch him play.

I'll wait until I hear/see something that it's happening before I get too excited, although the signs look promising. It would be a great start for 2014 class.

Sorry I didn't clarify that enough. Tells Stevens during official visit that he is all in, calls other coaches/finalists in next couple days to thank them and let them know of his intentions, and then announces it publicly. That's the way alot of recruits handle things.

Just hope Minnesota stays out of it. But I can see them throwing an offer out there just to muck things up. We shall see.
