https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lombardia/milano/milano-stazione.html?timelapse=1 This is a time lapse video of Milan today (Lombardy is the epicenter of the Italian outbreak). It may not be life as usual, but it's going to be difficult to ask anyone in the world to stay inside for two weeks straight.
Sorry to hear that. You are probably already well versed on the topics around this topic; there is a wealth of info on Functional Medicine/Nutrition/Holistic approaches in conjunction with traditional medicine approach. I recently read about the gut/brain connection as relates to Parkinson's. Hope you are able to keep symptoms down.
https://dso.college.harvard.edu/coronavirusfaq This is nuts. Harvard just kicked students off campus by this Sunday.
MAC is not allowing fans to the tournament in Cleveland. So.F'ing.Stupid. America-make a mountain range out of an ant hill.
All of this makes a great deal of sense to me. Take necessary precautions. If you are in an at risk demographic don’t attend. If you attend and have contact with family, etc. in those demographics, limit exposure. Just common sense stuff you should be doing anyway.
The Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) cancelled its NYC annual convention for this week because of covid-19 concerns, which is fitting. Covid-19 represents a very real risk with much uncertainty. I believe cancelling conference tournaments, or playing them with little to no spectators, is appropriate in certain cases. Duke just did the same. I expect we'll see many colleges and universities moving classes online and closing dorms, cafeterias, etc. over the next week or so. https://coronavirus.duke.edu/2020/0...ng-break-and-classes-new-travel-restrictions/
Ya know, I think tucker Carlson has a saying, if you don’t like it why don’t you leave? Sent from my iPhone using Butler Hoops
Interestingly 44 Muslims in Iran died drinking effectively rubbing alcohol because thay were told it would protect them from coronavirus. No 99 virgins for them.
FWIW I have an Aunt who is originally from 50 mi. north of Milan, which is currently one of the areas getting pummeled worst by COVID-19. Her family living there knew 4 elderly people who recently died within a 24 hour time period. My intent is not to stoke fear, but that’s not a hoax, over-hype, or fake news - that’s simply the situation in that area of the world. In that same area merely a few weeks ago their mindset wasn’t very different than ours in the US today. Is the US prepared to do what it takes to avoid/minimize the potential for the circumstances above? No idea, I’m not a doctor or in public health... Would I be enraged if one of my vulnerable family members were effected by COVID-19 because some jackass thought this was all BS and couldn’t stay home when they’re sick? Yes, very much yes.
