Definitely worth a shot. There has been some interest here for a bit and this is the right summer to take a shot at a five-star. Smith is awesome and would be a game-changing scorer in LaVall's system. I think you have seen and will continue to see Butler prioritize highly-regarded players in this class. There is limited evaluation time and perhaps issuing offers to guys you have confidence in will pay off. I'll try to connect with Smith this week and get an interview up; hopefully that would tell us more about where the Dawgs stand in what is obviously a loaded recruitment. Smith has stated in the past that he is prioritizing culture and family vibe for his future school.

Disagree, LJ is at a crossroads with BU this year in my opinion. This is year 5 for him and his resume on paper doesn't look very good. He has to aim high or we're going to settle into the basement of the BE.
