Breaking news? Kid was sitting on the bench not even trying not to look bored in the NIT. I don’t think IU is going to miss him.

Interesting. If he didn’t play/work hard at Nova, I would think he’d have a problem with TT style as well.

We'll see what Beard can do if this comes together. The kid is lightning quick. Probably the attraction. Mindset is a different story.

I like Doyel alright, but the Duke speculation is always amusing to me. Maybe Brad Stevens ends up being the coach at Duke after the coach who replaces K gets fired, but it would really surprise me if the next coach at Duke isn't one of K's former players/assistants.

K will be heavily involved in influencing that search. I could easily see him following Dean Smith's lead and announcing his retirement on the eve of the first day of practice just to force the university's hand if he doesn't feel like he'll have the influence he wants at the end of a season.

I don’t think he leave the Celtics voluntarily for any job. And his boss is smart enough to know how good he is as a coach so I doubt he'd be forced out for the foreseeable future. Kyrie leaves, chemistry improves, Hayward gets a little better, the young guys get back to their 17-18 form, and suddenly brad is back to being considered the best coach in basketball.

I also don’t know that brad is a guy who we can put into a box with other coaches and assume that all he wants to do in his life is be a basketball coach.

Hayward is going to have to get a lot better with the salary he is getting or that won’t sit well

This. I've always said Brad is the guy who retires at 50.

Agree, but I will also say this: as long as really average coaches like Quin Snyder or Billy Donovan have jobs in the NBA, Brad can work somewhere in the league as long as he wants to.
